As part of our commitment to safeguarding your privacy we have adopted the online privacy policy outlined below.  This Privacy Statement may be changed or updated at any time.
Please note: this privacy policy applies to website visitors only. Please read the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which applies to The Foundling’s clients and consumers.

Collection and Use of Information

We collect two kinds of information from our website visitors: site usage data, which is not individually identifiable, and individually identifiable information, which is provided, voluntarily, by the visitor.

Site usage data

Our Web server automatically recognizes and collects the domain name of each visitor to our website. We collect information about visitors to our site, such as the number of visitors, what pages they access, and the length of their visit. This information is used in aggregate form in order to manage our website and improve its content.

Individually identifiable information

We collect individually identifiable information about you when you choose to share information about yourself, for example, when you make a donation. We use individually identifiable information to provide you with information or to deliver the service you have requested. We maintain this information on a proprietary database. If you provide your postal address, telephone number or e-mail address to The Foundling online, you may receive periodic contacts from us.

At this time, we do not make our constituent email or postal addresses available to any third parties. If we change this policy, we will notify our constituents via this page and provide them with the opportunity to designate their Privacy Preference.

Email Communications

We occasionally send out an email newsletter and email communications to update our constituents on Foundling programs and newsworthy events. You may elect not to receive communications from us by contacting The Foundling by postal mail with your request. In addition, Foundling email communications have easy-to-follow “unsubscribe” instructions at the bottom of each email.
