Foundling: The Story of the New York Foundling Hospital

The book portrays our humble beginnings in 1869, when Sr. Mary Irene Fitzgibbon and the Sisters of Charity placed a bassinet on the doorstep of their brownstone to accept foundlings and, taking the reader through the years, arrives at the beginning of the 21st century, as we continue to evolve to meet the needs of the most vulnerable.
